Jen is quickly establishing a national presence as an advocate and coach for blended family couples. Her passion for nurturing blended family marriages is evident in her dedication and availability via social media and individualized coaching.

Throughout her 5-day love challenge, my wife and I grew closer to one another because of Jen’s strategies and the exercises we did together as a couple. If you have an opportunity to jump-in with Jen, we highly recommend it.

Kirk & Lori McGregor

Jennifer is a gracious, intuitive coach who listens deeply to what you're saying and not saying about the challenges you're facing.

She not only identified my fear of being visible, but helped me see the possibility of showing up in a different way than what I had in mind, then gently guided me through the process of how to make it a reality.

She has a special quality about her that makes you feel totally supported, encouraged, seen and heard when working with her... which is a rare thing to find in the over-saturated 'world of coaching'! I know in my heart that she genuinely wants what's best for me and to see me succeed.

I am so grateful to have found her and have her in my corner!

Jen Kuo

“The best part about working

with Jen is how she takes a

complex process and

breaks it down into just 1 first-step action that feels simple to accomplish.

With her guidance and accountability,

I quickly realized these small steps were having a greater impact than I ever would have expected in such a short period of time. ”

BLENDING FAMILIES IS A COMPLEX MISSION

Blending families is hard work!

You thought your experience from past relationships would make this relationship easier.

You know what's important in a life-long partner.

You're determined to avoid making another mistake.

Stepkids? No problem.  You've got parenting skills in spades!

But...

Blending families, with stepkids is harder than you thought.

You try to explain stepfamily challenges, but people look at you like you have 3 heads.

You feel misunderstood at best.

Isolated and alone, at worst.

Doubts creep in.

"I love my soul mate.  But the kids...what if I don't love them?"

or

"Was my family right? Did I pick the wrong person, again?"

or

"What's the point? Those kids hate me."

May I share an experience with you?

Ok, here goes.

Do you know when it feels like you are drowning in the ocean?

The undertow takes hold of you and pulls you down.

You fight back, exerting energy as your

desperate need for oxygen is

sabotaged by your struggle.

Your body builds up carbon dioxide with each exertion.

You cough or swallow as the carbon dioxide touches your airways.

Unfortunately, you take in even more water.

Your throat closes to protect your lungs.

But...

This reflexive mechanism causes the water to go into your stomach.

Unconsciousness will come soon.

With it, the enemy nears as your reduced oxygen forces

your throat to relax and allows more water in your lungs.

Your heart will then struggle to pump blood around your body.

Do you know what comes next,

 if there is no intervention?

May I step in here?

May I intervene, please?

Because without intervention, what comes next is exactly what YOU can prevent..

First, breathe!

Second, notice something.

How did you feel, almost drowning?

When I was a brand new 12 year-old, I nearly drowned in the Pacific Ocean.

One moment laughing with some girls on an air mattress.

The next...alone.

Yet, the beach was packed.

It was so confusing.

I panicked.

I kept getting sucked underwater.

I tried to bob up and ride the waves but my timing was all wrong.

I wasn't just scared.

I thought I was going to die.

Then...

a lifeguard shouted.

He was calling to me, but I couldn't make out the words.

I didn't know if he was real.

I was shaking from the cold and trembling with fear.

Reaching out in desperation,

I wanted to scream for him to save me, but I couldn't form any words.

You know I survived

because you're reading words I've written decades later.

I'm not 12 any longer.  And I'm not drowning.

But, when I became a step-parent,

it used to feel that way, not so long ago.

It felt like being a stepmom was slowly sucking me under.
You know I survived

because you're reading words I've written years later.

But, I wanted more than surviving.

I wanted to thrive.

The journey is difficult, yet rewarding.

The sting of betrayal, at times, immensely hurtful. Yet, forgiveness is powerful.

The confusion, well...chaotic. Yet, perfect love casts out fear.

There was no lifeguard in sight. Actually, not true.

God was there, all along, I just didn't form the words to ask him for help.

It felt like this calling, this being a step-parent was killing me.

Yet, God used the blended minefield to turn it into a mission field.

------------------------------------------------

So here we are.

You.

Me.

How are you?

Would you like a life preserver?

“After working with Jen Rogers, something finally clicked for me. Instead of feeling baffled and embarrassed

by my ton of ‘should-do’s’ that never got done,

I felt oddly calm and empowered,

and even excited to take action!

Her way of communicating and teaching is extraordinary.

She inspires a sense of play and reflection!”

Susan Norton

“I think that my past implementation snafus resulted from not knowing how to use the coaching tools I was given, so I gave them up and wondered if things were ever going to get better.

After implementing the suggestions that Jennifer has so generously shared with us, I am comfortable relying on this system. The tools are by my side always, and I refer to them often.”
